Romania - Exposition ausiège de l'UNESCO

"Ia Romanian", exposée pour la première fois au siège de l'UNESCO à Paris

  La chemise taille haute, connue de tous sous le nom de « ia roumaine », a quitté l'espace d'exposition conventionnel et est arrivée, pour la première fois, au siège de l'UNESCO à Paris, dans une exposition intitulée « Épaule contre épaule

 La chemise taille haute, connue de tous sous le nom de « ia roumaine », est entrée sur la liste représentative du patrimoine culturel immatériel de l'UNESCO en tant qu'élément de l'identité culturelle de la Roumanie et de la République de Moldavie.

LTT to Romania - day 3 Bran Castle


We learnt about Romania's historical and literature heritage.


Castelul Bran is a castle in Bran, near Brasor. It is a national monument located  in Transylvania on the historical road DN73 to the region of Wallachia.


Bran Castle is also known as Dracula's Castle. Bram Stoker's book, Dracula, has impacted people's mind more than any other past stories about vampires and Transylvania.


Vlad The Impaler, voivode of Wallachia, had a repution of blood-thirst and violence. 










LTTA to Romania - day 3 Peleș castle


We learnt about Romania's historical  heritage.


We visited the Castelul Peleș in the Carpathian montains.

It is located on a medieval route which links the region of Transylvania and the region of Wallachia.

It was built between 1873 and 1914 for King Carol I, the first King of Romania.

We learnt that the palace was used as a summer residence.

LTTA to Romania - day 2 Herăstrău lake

We visited the natural heritage of Bucharest : Lacul Herăstrău.
Lake Herăstrău flows into the Colentina River ; the place around the lake is used for sports.
It is the largest and the most visited park where Romanians enjoy outdoor walks and family free time with visits to the Herastrau ParkHerastrau Aquarium, the Japanese Garden.





LTTA to Romania - day 2 national museum Dimitric Gusti


We learnt about Romania's historical heritage and traditions.


We visited the Village MuseumMuzeul Național al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti" .

The museum showcases traditional Romanian village life. 

We learnt about Romania's cultural heritage.

The guide explained the authentic peasant's life at the farms, vilage houses in Romania. 

The museum prserves and transmits Romania's housing heritage. We understood the evolution of house building and Romanian's way of living








LTTA to Romania - day 2 Palace of the Parliament


We learnt about Romania's historical heritage.


"Palatul Parlamentuluiis also known as "Casa Republicii" (the Republic's house).

We learnt the building is the location of the Parliament of Romania and is the second largest administrative building in the world.

The guide explained us Ceausescu ordered the construction of the Palace. It is composed of large ornate halls and rooms.
