France - visit of "Le Printemps"

France

On May 13, 2022, for the Erasmus + "REACH to share" project, our class visited a particular local heritage: the "Printemps” (the emblematic Parisian department store).

Accompanied by  Mrs. Salcedo and Mr. Allan, the students discovered the backstage of this true Parisian institution and temple of fashion since 1865.

Part of the architectural heritage of Paris, these stores, with a long history, have been the subject of a private visit with a guide from Cultival company.

We discovered the basements, the analysis of themed sales floors, stairs and patios created by great architects and designers, up to the famous dome.

The visit gave the students a better understanding of the ingenuity of the store's founders and the innovations, and placing them in their historical context. The facade is listed as a local architectural heritage.

The view from the rooftops enthused the students with the superb panorama of Paris.
